Guess I am over cleaning mine a bit. Think I will stick with the paint scraper and just keep the racks clean and scrap the goo off the baffle plate. Then when it gets bad I will scrub it out.

Ditto on rodcrafter...I wore brush the grates and scrape the baffle plate but I cook year round yet have the luxury of storing mine in a climate controlled garage.

I raise the temperature to about 350deg. and mist the inside with a water hose to steam clean and let the fire burn out.

Every season i use a weed burner to degrease the grates, and after candy bacon day.
