120 gallon smoke punk build

Post by reelfishy » November 27th, 2016, 2:12 am

My first smoker build. I have been collecting parts for about a year , time to get ta welding.
Its going to be a stationary steam engine / steam punk theme smoker. I think I have the calculator figured out but I am open to suggestions. The tank is 24x64 my fire box is 24x24x20. Hope to have the hinges and latch built tomorrow.

Got most of the door latch done. Still have to machine some slides, hope to mill them out tomorrow . It will have 3 latching points , the handle and the two pins . Should be a tight seal.

That Bridgeport vise handle would look great on my Bridgeport vise. I have to say it looks even nicer on that FB door!

I managed to get the hinges and the slides done. Slow going due to bacterial bronchitis. I'm pretty sure I got it from a homeless guy at 7/11. He was coughing up a lung wile I was getting my coffee.

I think there is a big difference in the smoker a welder makes verses a machinist/welder. Wow that is super cool!
