You could always map out the half moon the redneck way......whether in inches or mm's you could make a grid on cardboard in square inches or metric and then overlay the diameter of your cook chamber onto that grid with a half moon drawn on and count squares. Count the whole ones first then add up the partials with the best guess as to their size and you should get a good idea how big it needs to be. Enlarge or shorten the half moon until you hit the number the calculator calls for.
