. The red line is the baffle plate, the blue line is the shadow plate and the yellow line is the throat. Normally there’s about a 1” air gap between the top of the shadow plate and the bottom of the baffle plate. The shadow plate runs about 20%-25% of the length of the baffle plate and it is also 1/4” plate.
