Willhi Controller

Post by Texasbowhunter » October 18th, 2018, 11:49 am

I could sure use some guidance here guys
I am not computer savvy by any means...Searching the WWW can be challenging to say the least for me...
I have been at it for several days steady however I have pursued trying to find one on and off for quite a while now with no avail...

There is a Willhi temperature controller which seems to be a controller used on an occassion or two (like the one Weldom used)
It looks like its simple to wire up and small enough to work well enough for me needs to build a temperature controller...

The problem I'm having is I have found various manufactures out there with what looks like the Willhi model I'm seeking
I'm assuming that since they are all made in China they are all coming down the same line and are all the same just different names...
However there doesn't seem to be any out there with a temperature range one would use for a smoker
...All the ones I'm seeing goes to 110* C or 230*F These are a rarity to find in the higher temps but I have seen
Im looking for one that will measure the temps in F and have a range in the 500*+...
I think with the temperature range being in the middle of there range it will be more accurate...

I have sent questions to several sellers on ebay with no luck on getting one with the range I'm requesting...
I would like to start fabrication

The Willhi I'm seeking is the one that has the black face and frame and orange locking tabs on the sides
Im thinking I should/could be fine with either 110v or might be able to make 12v work
NOT The one with the female 110v plug on the face with the dominate colors of blue and white...

Hoping somebody here who is computer proficiant can help...I figure you guys can locate it instantly with your knowledge of the WWW and how the key works come into play...

Thanks
paul

I found the same controller you were looking at and your right it does not have the temperature threshold you need.

Try taking a look at this project. It is pretty straight forward and cost effective:

The heatermeter is the best bang for the buck, but it takes some computer skills.

I went back and the vendor I purchased from no longer offers the Willhi WH7016D controller.
