Mini + 6 stack size

So like the topic says, I am close to welding on a stack for my GF mini + 6". I have a stainless steel 4" O.D. sanitary tubing that I am thinking about putting on. In your guy's opinion will the 4" stack work even though the plans call for 3 1/2" O.D? I tried the Feldon's bbq calculator but it only calculates the stack length.

Stack size is not critical on a vertical cabinet. Your 4" will work fine tho you could always put a damper on it to close it down if needed.

Okay any cool in line air damper? I have stainless steel, kind of want it looking fancy.

Also you might think about welding a ferrule flange on too, and swinging it closed from the top.

Just a simple slide will work fine. Butterflies are not as effective, in my opinion as then tend to create more of a nozzle effect instead of blocking the exhaust volume.

tinspark, I like that idea. I thought about welding a nut on the inside with two braces and then welding a bolt to the 4" stainless cap and have it tighten and loosen for an up and down air flow design. I stole the idea off of youtube. how to make a bbq damper.
