All 35 bending files ar complete now, ready for the laser cutting table and cnc brake press. Thought I was doing things pretty well in th first build but still experienced to much sheet warp because long welding seems....So in the second design I tried to minimize long welds. Every sheet has small or bigger bends that overlap or bump against eachother keeping leveling surfaces in mind. Also made the recess (oh my poor english :-) ) for the controller bigger etc.... every door; for cooking chamber, chute and ash room are made of sheet boxes that will slide in each other.....stiffness garanteed.
The inside of the smoker will be isolated with bio wool blanket 1250 degree celsius combind with high grade rockwool. this allows me to paint the smoker in a glossy black industrial 2 component paint. No sandblasting will be necessary because of the us of cold rolled steel.

Pics say more.....so Hey Frank.....based on you excellent engineering, this is my Belgian metric cnc cut file for the double pan.

Coming right along. a lot of modifications that were incorporated on this one.
Also, since you have the CNC files, it is repeatable.
Nice work!!

Still loving that welding table !!
I have one on the back burner designed from 3/8" plate (9.5 mm).

Thanks Tinspark , as this was the 2.0 version, the 3.0 will be a little bit more redesigned. Some small issues to solve and then it will be a 1 day build smoker.

As you can see in the photo´s, there is almost no welding on the outer skin and beside the top plate only 2 seels for rivets. The inner smoker chamber had to be welded, we all know why. I´m considering an technique to reduce that welding to for the 3.0 version

Day 2....ready for cleanup and paintImageImageImageImage

Excellent work. You know it's a good job when other people (well me at least!) are struggling for superlatives to describe your work.

Beautiful!

Fully assembled and did some testruns...solid as a rock. Soon starting a 3.0 with some small changes in the design. Looking forward to that one. But first an open pitfirebox 2.0[emoji16]ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Great job on version 2.0
I like the riveted skin.
And since it is riveted, the exterior wrapper can be made from thinner material, which saves weight and $$.
And there is no need to weld or worry about backstepping to prevent visible exterior metal warpage..
And it looks great.
Cannot wait to see version 3.0 !!
