GF cooked on 600 days straight. Melt point achieved!

Most of you probably don't keep your gravity-fed smoker cooking day and night for 600 days... Mine may have had a couple of days off. For the last couple of months we have noticed it bridging more frequently and today we investigated.

looking from the top you can see the bulge in the chute.

so we removed the side above the cleanout door.

sorry no pics of the repair. we cut out all the bent steel, and used a bottle jack to bend things back to semi-normal. we welded in a 1/2 in box. I guess I should be happy it survived 600 days =) Hopefully, it can go another 600.

That is some pretty good life I would think......heck of a test run!

Yea... If you were using it every weekend like a normal person that's 11+ years of cooks.
