cold smoker project

Post by dportz87 » February 11th, 2018, 2:31 pm

I am thinking about making a cold smoker, 4ft tall, 2ft wide and 2ft deep, 4 or 5 racks with a 6 inch pipe coming into the bottom from a fire box about 8 to 10 feet away. was wondering if this would work, or do you think it will make to much heat. thanks

What are you using for fuel?

If it's tourist season, how come I can't shoot 'em?

I would like to make it a stick burner, I seen a video on you tube where a man and his sons and grandchildren butchered a hog, salt cured it and smoked it for days and he kept it hanging in the smoke house for 7 yrs with out a problem. not wanting to keep the product for that long in the smoker but wanting the smoke flavor, for cheese and meets to freeze and make my own bacon and sausage
