Dyna-Glo Vertical Offset Charcoal Smoker/Hot Water Heater

I have an old hot water heater tank that I want to make a vertical smoker out of it just for fun. I know it's not the best thing to make a smoker out of due to the thin material, but like I said I want to build it just for the fun of it. I'll more than likely give it to one of the kids.

I saw the Dyna-Glo Vertical Offset Smoker, and thought that I would like to copy that design using the hot water heater tank.

Anyone make anything like this?

I'm not a big fan of vertical smokers and rounds are extremely time-consuming to build and work with. Sounds like fun, tho.
