New to the Hobby

Post by Barrion2018 » February 18th, 2022, 11:02 am

Hello Everyone,

I want to thank you all for welcoming me.

Little bit about myself.

To start with, I'm not a welder or fabricater, never done it before in my life. But that didn't stop me from buying my first welder about 3-weeks ago, it's a Hobart Handler 210 MVP.

Even though I have know idea what I'm doing, it's still not stopping me from jumping in feet first. I started my first 20" X 44" x 3/8" traditional offset smoker build shortly after getting it. I'll try to attach a picture of my progress, if I can figure out how.

I have tons of questions, but will search the site first before asking for help.

Anyway, thank you again for having me.

No better way to learn to weld than to start a project. Welcome to the site and please continue to share your build.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome.

Question: To post my build, along with asking questions, should I start a differnt post?

Yes, start a new one in the "Smoker Design and Construction" section, in either standard offset or reverse flow category. And welcome! :)
