Our new grandson

Post by Puff » April 20th, 2015, 9:53 pm

You know all the joy the kids bring when you're a young couple and the thrill is reignited when it becomes your kids turn to have babies. So tonight, since my wife is watching the baby a few days a week, we needed to re-stock the house with baby stuff. Spent enough a Target to supply all the steel and insulation for my upcoming baby gravity feed. You know things like diapers, wipes, bibs, pacifiers..etc etc. And a heap of related things.

I have just spent over 2 hours on a 20 minute assembly for this freakin baby swing!!! I can't believe it...every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in ? (Godfather 3)

Congrats Puff !! I know what you mean, I cringe when I see the words "some assembly required".

Thank you all. Since both are working, my wife has him here all week long... No way I'm complaining but it's like starting all over again! And....over two hours to assemble that swing? I must be losing it.

Congratulations Puff. I've got several boxes of baby stuff waiting to be assembled as we are expecting are first grandkid soon. Would you rather me get you a round trip ticket here or ship it to you to assembled?

Hey gang,

Got this one done in 20 minutes.... So glad I'm not being interrupted by building that baby sized gravity feed smoker. :BDHorse:

Congrats Puff, I think you will have a good month of Grandson time before it will possibly be interrupted for the build.

Ha...funny Pete. I can't take that down. The dog will not give it up, or share!

WLD, did you hear something about the time frame? I spoke to Frank back in September and he'd mention around Thanksgiving....2014!

Ok...I guess I should just go with the baby stumps or that ceramic egg thing. I need something smaller than the 275 and the big gravity feed. I have another 80 gallon air compressor tank but I've already made one like it for my son and I like the long term burn on the GF. Building is too much fun but summer is here and this would likely be our most used time frame.

Ain't gittin' any younger ya know!

Puff look at the Char-griller Akorn. Decent entry price and a darn good cooker in my honest opinion.

Ive seen some stations like that for the egg Puff, but you're right...that one seems much more functional.

Thanks it isn't an option, I got a used kitchen prep table off Craigslist for 50. Measured and cut the hole with a plasma, welded some reinfocements around the hole perimeter. Then made and welded some brackets in to attach it to.
