I would so be up for that but I'm pretty sure the 20,000kms or so is a bit much to drive in one weekend, & I'm not sure I could hold my breath long enough either, lol.
Make sure you guys enjoy yourselves & take lots of pics!
I'm coming. I still need a wish list of everything I'll need to bring. I already started one but you guys have done this before.
Some friends may be coming as well. They are all BBQ'ers.
If it's tourist season, how come I can't shoot 'em?
Awesome! You know I'm in!
I will be coming by myself prolly flying in with TheCzar if that's what he wants to do. That being said I might need to work out a ride from the airport or rent a car....
I know Justin Martin will be there also. Should be am awesome time!
Here's a map of the campground. We're looking to rent the deluxe cabins in the lower right side.
According to the site:

I talked to them yesterday and they're setting a group of cabins aside for us. As soon as we know how many folks are coming and what days I'd get back to them. I guess it will all depend how many will share a cabin and how many are actually coming. They pretty much said anytime before May is usually wide open but wanted to keep everybody together.
Puff is bringing his smoker and I'll have my little guy there as well. A buddy of mine who has his trailer there will also have his smoker going and he's a hell of a cook. From what I'm told, his buddy, if there, will also be smoking and he's supposedly even a better cook! He's also told me there is a butcher in the area that has excellent meats but I was going to do a Rest Depot run or two and load up. If you guys can get the wish list together at some point I'll do the shopping and try getting the other stuff we'll need like chairs, bacon, tables, etc. Since you've done this before, let me know what all you'll need me to bring for cooking. Right off the bat I'm thinking knives, bacon, typical Bbq utensils, spices, trays, foil, bacon, etc.

You are one of us for sure Pete, bacon, bacon, bacon. Since we have a full sized kitchen to start with that reduces a lot of what we need. But here are some of the basics besides what you already mentioned;
Foil pans, some 5" foil tart pans (for Gizmo's breakfast), a large skillet, cutting board(s), dish soap and rags, paper towels, plates and plastic eating tools, bottled water, temp probes, firewood, if you can get 1 or 2 pop up tents 10 x 10 to put over prep and cooking areas, we will need some rubs and sauces I'm not sure who will bring what of those but is there really ever too many? gallon of beans and corn ..ect.
As far as food, this could be the beginning of the menu.
Friday night, I'm bringing smoked fish dip, any other snacks would be good.
1. Gizmo's breakfast Saturday, I will need 2lbs of Jimmy Deans hot sausage, 4 jalapenos, 1 small onion, 6 plum tomatoes, fresh cilantro, and 1 lime, 24 or so eggs, package of 6" flour tortillas, 2 kinds of sliced cheese
2. Lunch I would say we need lots of ABTs, so 24+ jalapenos, 6 packages of cream cheese, 6 packages of "bacon" minced garlic, and some rub. Then for meat maybe some ribs and or chicken?? Or maybe someone would like to make a couple of fatties.
3. Supper, we could have brisket and ribs or chicken which ever we didn't have for lunch or both, corn and beans. Maybe a carrot so we can tell our wives we ate our veggies.
4. Breakfast, we can cut up a bunch of the meat and stir fry it in with a couple dozen eggs and the left over pico de gallo and
maybe a can of Rotel canned tomatoes, then toss that into a flour tortilla.
5. Lunch ?????
This is just an idea for things we can do and eat, NOT what has to be, but if we do this it will be a great time anyway. The goal is to get everyone attending involved in the cooking so we all get to try new things.
I know it seems like a lot of stuff but it makes for a really good time. No one person has to pay for more than they should.
Any more ideas and cooking volunteers throw it in.

Hey just so everyone can start planning we need to nail down the dates. It looks like Friday the 8th of April we will begin the Northeast Gathering 2016. The park is asking how many cabins do we want. So far we only need 1, if you guys are coming we need to get a head count. If you already said you're coming you don't need to repeat it. We just want to make sure everyone is considered.
Making memories.

I made 2 versions of the candied jalapenos that I'll be bringing. I'd make you guys some pizza and cheesesteaks and some scrapple but I think there's going to be plenty of food. I'll definitely make my coleslaw for a side.
Boy, this is dangerous having this much time to think of sh*t!

Dang,sounds like fun!
I had a blast at the Florida Gathering,if anyone is close by,it would be worth your while to stop by.
You folks have a safe trip and a great time, but don't forget to take some pictures for the rest of us.
What's the closest town to the park and in what state? I guess I'm going blind. I can't find it. I found jelly stone parks all over the USA...just curious as to where yawl will be. I do not see me making it but if by chance I can breakout I will. I'm not scared of driving or flying! Hehee
