I've thought about getting a Lodge cast iron wok for cooking over a campfire, on charcoal, putting it on the grill, or using in the kitchen. Any advantage to using a discada? From the videos it looks like you use the exact same cooking technique as wok cooking.

Should be fun to build a discada but how do you make sure you're not getting a disc made of leaded steel or steel with other harmful additions? (Lead is often added to steel to improve machining properties.)

I just want to make sure I'm making something safe to cook on.

Thanks!

Wow, I don't have any idea about the content of my discada, I sure do like it though.
