scoring breakdown just how do they do it

ok we did ok in a FBA comp . and I just don't understand the scoring . 10points max each ..tenderness ,taste and appearance ok got that . but how do they come up with a higher score ie; 8.5,9.0,9.0 =26.5 normal right but they say 29.023 im lost......

Not familiar with with FBA, but most comps give different weights (multipliers) to each of the categories. What I mean is they take your score for appearance and multiply it by a number Lets say .75 They do the same for taste and tenderness. In most comps the lowest multiplier is for appearance and the highest is for taste.
